How To Dress Well - “Ready For The World” from Love Remains
Apparently this is just one guy recording stuff in his basement and releasing it on his blog but I couldn’t be bothered to look it up. It’s probably true because whatever equipment he’s using is pretty crap - there’s distortion all over the place. But you can still hear the beauty behind it all. In the “recorded by one dude in his pajamas” genre it’s right up there with Bon Iver and Cody Chesnutt (both of whom he sounds a bit like). All of which reminds me that I have to finish that double album opus I’m recording in my kitchen.
